Ingredients

  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar (or brown sugar or honey)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients in a small container or jar and mix well.
  2. Place chicken, steak, or other protein in a shallow dish or zip-top bag.
  3. Pour the marinade over the protein and flip to coat completely.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 20 minutes, up to 24 hours.
  5. Remove from the container and cook the protein to your liking.
  6. Baste with leftover marinade while cooking for extra flavor, ensuring it is boiled first to kill any bacteria.
