Instructions
- 1. Use the 'saute' function on the Instant Pot to heat the oil or vegan butter.
- 2. Add the grits and saute for 2 minutes, stirring often.
- 3. Sprinkle in the salt, then add the water and soy milk.
- 4. If desired, add nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor.
- 5. Lock the lid and set the pressure valve to sealing.
- 6. Cook on high pressure for 13 minutes.
- 7. After cooking, let the pressure release naturally for 10 minutes, then manually release any remaining pressure.
- 8. Saute off any extra liquid if needed or stir in a splash of milk.
- 9. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper before serving.
