  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 12 ounces evaporated milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups unsweetened coconut flakes
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

  • 1 cup salted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare two 9-inch cake pans.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients for the cake in a large bowl.
  3. Add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture and mix until smooth.
  4. Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
