Instructions
- Layer sliced potatoes in a dish and sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and thyme.
- Repeat layering with more potatoes and spices.
- Sprinkle half of the parmesan cheese on top.
- Add another layer of potatoes and repeat the spices.
- Sprinkle half of the Monterey Jack and sharp cheddar cheeses on top.
- Add the final layer of potatoes and repeat the spices and add nutmeg.
- Pour half and half over the layers until it just peeks through.
- Top with remaining Monterey Jack and sharp cheddar cheeses.
- Add water to the Instant Pot and place the dish on a trivet inside.
- Seal the Instant Pot and cook on high pressure for 40 minutes.
- Release the steam and check for doneness.
- If broiling, sprinkle remaining parmesan and broil until golden.
