Ingredients

The crust

  • cups graham cracker crumbs
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

The filling

  • cups dulce de leche
  • 2 large bananas, sliced

Whipped cream

  • 2 cups cold heavy cream
  • ¼ cup confectioners’ sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Optional toppings

  • to taste chocolate shavings
  • to taste chopped nuts
  • to taste toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (177°C).
  2. Make the crust by grinding graham crackers into fine crumbs and mixing with sugar and melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish and bake for 15 minutes, then cool for 15 minutes.
  4. Whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until medium peaks form.
  5. Spread dulce de leche over the cooled crust, layer banana slices on top, and then spread whipped cream.
  6. Refrigerate the pie for at least 2 hours before serving, and garnish with optional toppings if desired.
