Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- Mix buttermilk and hot sauce, then soak the chicken tenders in this mixture for 15-20 minutes.
- In a shallow dish, combine bread crumbs, lemon zest, crushed red pepper flakes, and a generous amount of salt.
- Place a wire rack over a baking sheet and spray it with cooking spray.
- Dredge the chicken tenders in the bread crumb mixture and place them on the baking sheet.
- Spray the tops of the chicken tenders with cooking spray.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then flip the tenders and bake for another 10 minutes.
- For extra crispiness, broil for the last 2 minutes.
