canned sweet red bean paste (anko) or sweet red bean soup
Instructions
- Combine glutinous rice flour and sugar in a bowl, then gradually add water to form a dough.
- Roll the dough into a smooth ball, flatten it, and divide into 12 pieces, rolling each into a ball.
- Boil water in a saucepan, add the shiratama dango, and cook until they float, about 2 to 3 minutes.
- Drain the dango and cool them in ice water.
- Mix matcha powder and sugar in a bowl, then whisk in hot water until smooth.
- In serving bowls, add sweet red bean paste, top with shiratama dango, and pour matcha tea over them.
