Instructions
- Blend the salsa verde and cilantro until smooth.
- Transfer the mixture to a skillet and simmer over medium heat, stirring often for 5 to 7 minutes until reduced by about one-third.
- If using sour cream, temper it by mixing warm salsa with the sour cream before stirring it into the sauce. If using heavy cream or crème fraîche, stir it directly into the warm sauce.
- Use the sauce immediately or let it cool and refrigerate for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
