Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat and sauté onions with a pinch of salt until translucent.
- Add bell peppers, garlic, cumin, chili powder, oregano, salt, and pepper, cooking until the peppers are softened.
- Pour in black beans and broth, bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer for 20-30 minutes.
- Blend half of the soup until smooth and return it to the pot.
- Stir in lime juice and adjust seasonings before serving with toppings.
