Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
- Add bell pepper, onion, and garlic powder, cooking until soft.
- Stir in chicken broth, black beans, smoked paprika, cumin, and chili powder.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 25 minutes.
- Blend about 3/4 of the soup until smooth, then return to the pot.
- Stir in lime juice and cilantro, adjusting salt to taste.
