Instructions
- Combine strawberries, sugar, and salt in a bowl and refrigerate.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F and prepare a baking sheet.
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl, then stir in cream.
- Knead the dough briefly and shape it into a round, cutting out biscuits.
- Bake the biscuits until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
- Whip the cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.
- Assemble the shortcakes by splitting biscuits and layering with strawberries and whipped cream.
