Ingredients

The clams

  • lb. manila clams

The sauce

  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 1 small onion, peeled and sliced
  • tablespoons curry powder
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • cup water
  • 1 tablespoon scallions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Rinse the clams thoroughly and set aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and stir-fry the onion until slightly softened.
  3. Add the clams and stir until they start to open.
  4. Add curry powder, turmeric, hot sauce, oyster sauce, and water, then stir to combine.
  5. Cover the pan and cook until all clams are open.
  6. Add scallions, stir, and serve immediately.
