Ingredients

Cranberry Rosemary Infused Simple Syrup

  • ½ cup turbinado/cane/coconut/any unrefined sugar
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • ½ cup fresh or frozen cranberries

For a Single Cocktail

  • 2 tablespoons fresh cranberries
  • ¼ lime juice
  • 1-2 ounces gin
  • 1 ounce cran-rosemary infused simple syrup
  • to top ginger ale/beer
  • to garnish rosemary and cranberries

For 4 Cocktails

  • ½ cup fresh cranberries
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 4-8 ounces gin
  • 4 ounces cran-rosemary infused simple syrup
  • to top ginger ale/beer
  • to garnish rosemary and cranberries

Instructions

  1. Make the cranberry rosemary infused simple syrup by combining all syrup ingredients in a pot, bring to a boil, then simmer until sugar dissolves and cranberries burst.
  2. Let the syrup cool completely, preferably in the freezer.
  3. For cocktails, muddle cranberries and lime juice in a shaker.
  4. Add gin, simple syrup, and ice to the shaker and shake well.
  5. Pour the mixture into glasses, straining if desired.
  6. Top with ginger beer and garnish with rosemary and cranberries.
