Ingredients

The pasta

  • 8 ounces uncooked penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • ½ cup pesto
  • ¼ cup half and half
  • ¼ cup Parmesan cheese
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper

The protein

  • 1 cup cooked chicken

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil a pot of water with 2 tablespoons of salt and cook the pasta, then drain it, reserving ½ cup of the pasta water.
  2. 2. Add half and half to the pasta and toss, adding reserved pasta water gradually until the sauce is creamy.
  3. 3. Mix in the cooked chicken, salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese, then toss everything together.
