Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare baking sheets.
- Brown the butter in a skillet until golden and nutty, then cool until thick.
- Mix the sugars, eggs, and vanilla into the cooled butter until combined.
- Add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt; mix until well combined.
- Prepare a cinnamon and sugar mixture in a separate bowl.
- Scoop dough, flatten it, place half a caramel in the center, and roll into a ball.
- Roll the balls in the cinnamon and sugar mixture and place on baking sheets.
- Bake for 9-11 minutes until slightly flattened and cracked on top.
