Ingredients

Cinnamon Sugar

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Small-batch Snickerdoodle Cookies

  • cup salted butter
  • cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg yolk and vanilla, and mix until well combined.
  5. Mix in flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt until the dough forms.
  6. Divide the dough into 6 parts and roll into balls.
  7. Roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar and place on the baking sheet, spacing them apart.
  8. Flatten each cookie to ½-inch thick.
  9. Bake for 9 to 12 minutes until the edges are barely golden.
  10. Cool on the tray and enjoy.
