Ingredients

First Tier Dishes

  • 2 pieces Two coloured eggs (Nishiki Tamago)
  • 1 cup Candied Sardines (Tazukuri)
  • 1 piece Sweet rolled omelette (Datemaki)
  • 1 cup Sweet black beans (Kuromame)
  • 1 piece Kamaboko fish cake (kouhaku kamaboko)
  • 1 cup Candied chestnut & Sweet potatoes (Kuri Kinton)
  • 1 cup Kombu Rolls (Kobumaki)
  • 1 cup Herring roe (Kazunoko)

Second Tier Dishes

  • 1 cup Simmered Shrimp (Ebi Umani)
  • 1 cup Daikon & Carrot salad (Kouhaku Namasu)
  • 1 cup Burdock root dish (Tataki Gobo)
  • 1 cup Vinegared lotus root (Su-renkon)

Third Tier Dishes

  • 1 cup Simmered vegetables (Chikuzenni)
  • 1 cup Roast beef
  • 1 cup Glazed ham
  • 1 cup Beef roll ups

Instructions

  1. Prepare the first tier dishes by cooking and assembling the colorful appetizers.
  2. Make the two-colored eggs, candied sardines, sweet rolled omelette, sweet black beans, kamaboko, candied chestnuts, kombu rolls, and herring roe.
  3. For the second tier, cook the simmered shrimp and prepare the daikon and carrot salad.
  4. Add burdock root and vinegared lotus root to the second tier.
  5. For the third tier, prepare simmered vegetables, roast beef, glazed ham, and beef roll ups.
  6. Arrange all the dishes in a tiered box or a square baking dish for presentation.
