Ingredients

The cake

  • 2 ¼ cups flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • ¾ cup butter
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • 1 large egg

The cream cheese layer

  • 8 ounces softened cream cheese
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg

The topping

  • ½ cup homemade or store-bought raspberry jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, and butter to create a crumbly mixture, reserving 1 cup for topping.
  3. Combine remaining crumbs with baking powder, baking soda, salt, sour cream, and 1 egg until mostly smooth.
  4. Spread the mixture in a greased 9x13 baking pan.
  5. Beat cream cheese with ¼ cup sugar and 1 egg until smooth, then pour over the batter and spread evenly.
  6. Spoon raspberry jam over the cream cheese layer and swirl with a knife.
  7. Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top and bake for 45-55 minutes until a knife comes out clean.
