Ingredients

The smoothie base

  • 1 small orange, peeled and wedges separated
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and chopped
  • cups frozen ripe peaches (about 1-2 peaches)
  • 1 inch piece ginger, peeled and chopped
  • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon camu camu powder (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla powder or extract
  • ½ tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup water

The raspberry layer

  • ¼ cup raspberries, fresh or thawed frozen

Seasoning

  • a tiny pinch sea salt
  • a tiny pinch ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mash the raspberries in a small bowl until juices release, then set aside.
  2. In a blender, combine the orange, carrot, frozen peaches, ginger, turmeric, camu camu powder (if using), vanilla, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and water.
  3. Blend until creamy and smooth.
  4. Pour a third of the smoothie into a glass, then layer a third of the raspberry juice on top.
  5. Repeat with the remaining smoothie and raspberry juice.
  6. Enjoy immediately.
