Instructions
- Melt butter in a pot over medium-high heat and cook the onions until nearly soft.
- Add garlic and flour, cooking for about 1 minute while stirring constantly.
- Slowly whisk in milk and chicken broth, then stir in the broccoli.
- Cook while stirring until the mixture begins to thicken.
- Reduce heat to low and cook until the broccoli is tender, about 6-8 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream, cheddar, and Parmesan until melted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve warm.
