Ingredients

The pasta

  • 10 ounces dry spaghetti
  • ¾ cup basil pesto

The shrimp

  • 1 pound medium to large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste salt and pepper

The toppings

  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • to taste chopped parsley (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil salted water and cook the spaghetti according to package directions.
  2. 2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large pan over high heat.
  3. 3. Add shrimp to the pan, season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque.
  4. 4. Drain the pasta and add it to the pan with the cooked shrimp.
  5. 5. Stir in the pesto, cherry tomatoes, and parmesan cheese.
  6. 6. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve.
