Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180C/350F and grease an 8-inch cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, salt, baking soda, and poppy seeds.
- Add the vinegar, vanilla extract, oil, water, and lemon juice to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Incorporate the yellow food coloring until the desired color is reached.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before frosting.
