Instructions
- Prepare the pastry cream and chill for 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- In a saucepan, bring water, butter, sugar, and salt to a boil.
- Remove from heat, add bread flour, and mix until combined.
- Return to heat and cook until the mixture forms a ball.
- Cool for 5 minutes, then stir in eggs and egg whites one at a time.
- Drop mixture onto lined baking sheets and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool completely, then cut in half and fill with pastry cream and whipped cream.
- Top with chocolate sauce or powdered sugar.
