Ingredients

The dough

  • 1 kit DeLallo Italian Pizza Dough Kit
  • water Water
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey

The toppings

  • 1 6.7 ounce jar DeLallo Sliced Truffled Mushrooms
  • 1 cup shredded fontina or mozzarella cheese
  • 3 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese
  • to taste Red chile pepper flakes
  • 2 cups arugula leaves
  • ½ lemon Lemon
  • to taste Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pizza dough according to the kit directions, adding olive oil and honey if desired.
  2. Knead the dough for 2-3 minutes, place in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled in size, about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  3. Bring the dough to room temperature, then shape it on a pizza pan.
  4. Drain the mushrooms, reserving the oil, and drizzle half of it on the dough.
  5. Top the dough with shredded cheese, pieces of fresh mozzarella, and the mushrooms.
  6. Preheat the oven to 450°F and bake the pizza for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  7. Remove the pizza and sprinkle with red chile flakes.
  8. Toss arugula with remaining olive oil, season, and add Parmesan cheese.
  9. Cut the pizza and top with the arugula salad before serving.
