Tropical Fruit Salad with Toasted Coconut

The fruit

fresh peeled pineapple chunks

melon chunks (cantaloupe, honeydew)

mango or papaya (peeled, cut into chunks)

kiwi (peeled, sliced)

fresh berries (strawberries or blueberries)

orange (peeled and sliced)

orange (zested and juiced)

lime (juice and zest)
The seasoning

teaspoons
fresh grated turmeric

teaspoon
poppy seeds

cup
toasted coconut flakes
Instructions
- Combine all fruit in a bowl, leaving out the berries until the end.
- Zest the lime and orange, then add the zest to the bowl.
- Squeeze the juice of the orange and half of the lime over the fruit.
- Peel and finely grate the turmeric over the salad.
- Sprinkle the poppy seeds over the mixture.
- Gently mix the ingredients, then fold in the berries.
- Taste and adjust the turmeric if needed.
- Garnish with toasted coconut flakes before serving.
