Ingredients

The salad

  • 6 cups mixed greens
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced
  • ¼ cup goat cheese, crumbled
  • ¼ cup candied maple walnuts
  • to taste cracked black pepper

Maple Balsamic Dressing

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • ½ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • to taste fresh herbs

Instructions

  1. Prepare the candied walnuts and let them cool completely.
  2. Blend the ingredients for the maple balsamic dressing until smooth or whisk together in a mason jar.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the mixed greens, sliced strawberries, goat cheese, and candied walnuts.
  4. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss well or serve dressing on the side.
  5. Season with cracked black pepper if desired and enjoy.
