Ingredients

Turkey Burgers

  • 1 lb Ground Turkey
  • 6 units Portabella Mushroom Caps
  • 3 slices PepperJack Cheese
  • ¼ cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 large Organic Egg
  • ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ½ tsp Ground Cumin
  • ½ tsp Sea Salt
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 2 tsp Cilantro Flakes
  • 1 small Tomato (optional)

Guacamole

  • 2 small Avocados
  • 1 tbsp Pico De Gallo
  • ½ tsp Sea Salt
  • ½ tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat a grill cooktop to high heat and a cooking pan to medium heat, adding 1 tbsp of cooking oil to each.
  2. 2. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, ground cumin, sea salt, oregano, black pepper, and cilantro flakes well with your hands.
  3. 3. Clean the mushrooms with a paper towel, remove the bottom stem, and lightly coat the tops with olive oil, removing the gills.
  4. 4. Grill each mushroom cap for 5 to 7 minutes, then set aside.
  5. 5. Form the turkey mixture into patties that match the width of the mushroom caps and cook each side for 4 minutes, adding pepper jack cheese slices during the last 3 minutes.
  6. 6. In a small bowl, mash the avocado with pico de gallo, sea salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  7. 7. Assemble each slider with the cooked turkey patty, sliced tomato, and guacamole, and serve hot.
