Ingredients

The main ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef or ground turkey
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 16 ounces uncooked spaghetti noodles
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 40 ounces jarred spaghetti/marinara sauce
  • cups water

For serving

  • to taste Freshly grated Parmesan
  • to taste Fresh basil

Instructions

  1. 1. Sauté ground beef or turkey with garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the Instant Pot until cooked through.
  2. 2. Drain excess grease and spread the meat evenly in the pot.
  3. 3. Break spaghetti noodles in half and layer them in the pot, alternating directions to prevent clumping.
  4. 4. Pour spaghetti sauce over the noodles and sprinkle dried basil on top.
  5. 5. Add water around the edges of the pot without stirring.
  6. 6. Secure the lid, set the valve to seal, and cook on high pressure for 7 minutes.
  7. 7. After cooking, quick release the pressure, remove the lid, and toss the noodles and sauce together.
  8. 8. Let the spaghetti rest for 4-5 minutes before serving.
