Simple Pasta with Peas and Ham

Instructions
- Cook the pasta according to package directions and reserve ½ cup of cooking water.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the onion until softened.
- Stir in the ham and garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add the white wine and reduce until almost evaporated.
- Pour in the chicken broth and reserved pasta water, bring to a boil, and simmer until thickened.
- Stir in the frozen peas, grated cheese, and heavy cream, and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook until heated through and serve garnished with extra Parmesan.
