Soft Chewy Ginger Cookies

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350° F.
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and molasses.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, ginger, baking soda, cloves, cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the creamed mixture and mix well.
- Roll the dough into 1 ½ inch balls and then roll in sugar.
- Place the sugared balls on ungreased, parchment-lined baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until puffed and lightly browned.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
