Ingredients

The smoothie base

  • cups ripe chunks frozen banana
  • ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • ¾ cup unsweetened plain almond milk

The add-ins

  • 1 Tbsp almond butter
  • 1 Tbsp flaxseed meal
  • 1 Tbsp chia seed
  • 1-2 Tbsp protein powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients to a high-speed blender.
  2. Blend on high until creamy and smooth.
  3. If the mixture has trouble blending, add more almond milk.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or flavor as desired.
  5. Optionally, pour a bit of coconut milk into serving glasses before adding the smoothie for a swirl effect.
  6. Garnish with additional chia seeds or almond butter if desired.
  7. Enjoy immediately or store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
