Paleo Salted Caramel Brownies

Caramel Sauce
-
¾

coconut sugar

coconut oil

full fat coconut milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a small pot, combine the caramel sauce ingredients over low heat and stir until dissolved and thickened.
- Remove the caramel from heat and pour it onto a parchment-lined plate. Freeze for 1 hour.
- In a medium bowl, mix the brownie ingredients until well combined.
- Melt the chocolate and butter together in the microwave, then add to the brownie mixture and mix well.
- Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper and pour in the brownie batter.
- Chop half of the caramel into squares and place on top of the brownies, returning the rest to the freezer.
- Bake for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the brownies cool before topping with the remaining caramel and slicing into squares.
