  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • ¾ tsp salt

Candied sweet potatoes and roasted Brussels sprouts

  • ¾ lb. sweet potato
  • 1.5 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • tsp ground cloves
  • tsp salt
  • ½ lb. Brussels sprouts
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • tsp salt
  • tsp pepper

Mashed potatoes

  • 1 lb. russet potato
  • ¾ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • tsp pepper

Green bean casserole

  • 12 oz. frozen cut green beans
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 4 oz. mushrooms
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ½ cup fried onions

Mushroom herb gravy

  • 4 oz. mushrooms
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1.5 Tbsp butter
  • 1.5 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup vegetable broth
  • ¼ tsp rubbed sage
  • tsp dried thyme
  • tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and prepare the turkey and stuffing first.
  2. Mix the stuffing with warm water and let it absorb.
  3. Prepare the herb butter and apply it to the turkey.
  4. Place the stuffing in a casserole dish and top with the turkey.
  5. Roast the turkey and stuffing for about 1.5 hours until the turkey reaches 165°F.
  6. Prepare the candied sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts while the turkey roasts.
  7. Peel and slice the sweet potatoes, then mix with melted butter and spices.
  8. Prepare the Brussels sprouts by cutting and seasoning them with oil, salt, and pepper.
  9. Roast the sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts on a sheet pan for about 40 minutes.
  10. Prepare the mashed potatoes while the other dishes are cooking.
  11. Dice and boil the russet potatoes until tender, then mash with butter, milk, and seasonings.
  12. Make the green bean casserole by boiling the green beans and preparing the sauce with mushrooms and garlic.
  13. Combine the green beans with the sauce and keep warm until serving.
  14. Prepare the mushroom herb gravy just before serving by sautéing mushrooms and garlic, then adding broth and seasonings.
  15. Serve all dishes together once everything is ready.
