Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a sheet pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the sugar, flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan, then whisk in the cocoa powder and hot water until boiling.
- Combine the melted butter mixture with the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Add the egg mixture and stir in the chopped Oreo cookies.
- Pour the batter into the prepared sheet pan and bake for 18 minutes.
- While the cake is baking, prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Once the cake is cool, frost it with the cream cheese frosting and top with chopped Oreo cookies.
