Instructions
- Combine masa harina, salt, and warm water in a bowl and mix until thickened.
- Knead the mixture until a smooth dough forms and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 14 balls and create a pocket in each.
- Fill the pocket with refried beans and shredded cheese, then reform the ball and flatten it into a disk.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan and cook each pupusa for 3 minutes on each side until browned.
