The frosting

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease the baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and then mix in the wet ingredients including the grated carrots.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures and stir until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 35 to 38 minutes.
- Let the cake cool completely before frosting.
- For the frosting, beat the cream cheese and butter until smooth, then mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla.
