Ingredients

The Cheese Powder

  • ½ cup nutritional yeast
  • 6 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon coarse salt
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika

The Mac

  • ½ box elbow macaroni pasta
  • cups non-dairy milk
  • 3 tablespoons non-dairy butter
  • 1 squeeze lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Blend all cheese powder ingredients until fine, about 30 seconds.
  2. Cook macaroni according to package directions and drain.
  3. In a saucepan, combine non-dairy milk and 3 tablespoons of cheese powder, whisk and simmer until creamy.
  4. Mix the cheese sauce with the cooked macaroni and stir in the non-dairy butter.
  5. Adjust seasoning with lemon juice and black pepper to taste.
