Ingredients

The pasta

  • 1 pound vegan pasta

The sauce

  • 1 ¼ cups water
  • 1 cup plain Almond Breeze (or other non-dairy milk)
  • ¾ cup nutritional yeast
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch or potato starch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic puree
  • ½ teaspoon dry mustard
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric (or curry powder)
  • 1 tablespoon tahini
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions.
  2. Blend all sauce ingredients together in a food processor or blender for 30-60 seconds.
  3. Once the pasta is cooked and drained, combine it with the sauce in a saucepan.
  4. Simmer over low-medium heat, stirring frequently for 5-10 minutes until thickened.
