The topping

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
- In a stand mixer, combine flour, brown sugar, white sugar, canola oil, salt, and pumpkin pie seasoning until mixed.
- Reserve 1½ cups of the mixture for the topping and set aside.
- Add chopped pecans and cinnamon to the reserved mixture, stir, and set aside.
- In the stand mixer, add milk, pumpkin puree, espresso, egg, baking soda, and baking powder, mixing until smooth.
- Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan or a 13x9-inch glass pan.
- Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and spread the pecan topping evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes for the springform pan or 35-40 minutes for the glass pan, until a toothpick comes out clean.
