Instructions
- Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker.
- Mix the dried minced onion, onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley, and salt in a bowl, then rub the mixture over the meat.
- Pour the dark beer and beef broth over the meat.
- Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours until the meat is easily shredded.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F.
- Cut the baguettes into quarters and split them open.
- Spread a thin layer of butter on the bread and sprinkle with garlic powder.
- Divide the shredded meat among half of the bread pieces and top with provolone cheese.
- Place all bread on a baking sheet and bake for 3 to 5 minutes until the cheese melts.
- Serve warm with the cooking juices as au jus.
