French Dip Sandwiches

The beef and broth

The rolls and cheese

rolls
crusty rolls or baguette thirds

cheese of your choice (Swiss, provolone, or mozzarella)
Instructions
- 1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
- 2. Season the roast with salt and pepper, then sear it on all sides.
- 3. Transfer the roast to a slow cooker.
- 4. Sprinkle onion soup mix over the roast and add water and beef broth.
- 5. Cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, then turn to low for another 4-5 hours.
- 6. Once cooked, shred the meat with two forks.
- 7. Place the shredded meat on rolls and top with cheese.
- 8. Broil the sandwiches in the oven for 1-2 minutes until the bread is golden and cheese is melted.
- 9. Serve with au jus for dipping.
