Ingredients

The meat and vegetables

  • 1 pot roast pot roast, anywhere from 2 to 4 pounds
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 green pepper green pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper red bell pepper, sliced

The sauce and cheese

  • 1 packet McCormick Au Jus sauce
  • Mozzarella slices Mozzarella slices

The bread

  • Rolls /buns Rolls /buns

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the Au Jus packet in 3 cups of cold water in a crockpot, then add the roast.
  2. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
  3. One hour before serving, shred the beef and slice the peppers and onions, then add them to the crockpot.
  4. Once finished, remove meat and veggies with a slotted spoon.
  5. Place mozzarella slices on buns and broil until melted and lightly browned.
  6. Fill the rolls with the meat and veggies, and serve with Au Jus sauce for dipping.
