Ingredients

The smoothie

  • 3 tablespoons peanut butter (or almond butter)
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 small banana
  • a pinch ginger
  • teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup

Optional toppings

  • sliced strawberries or bananas
  • slivered almonds
  • chia seeds or flax seeds
  • drizzle of maple syrup
  • drizzle of almond or coconut milk

Instructions

  1. Blend 2 tablespoons of nut butter, almond milk, strawberries, banana, ginger, cinnamon, and maple syrup until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into 2 serving bowls.
  3. Melt the remaining tablespoon of nut butter in the microwave for 30 seconds and drizzle over each bowl.
  4. Add desired toppings.
