Salted Butter Caramels

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Combine sugar and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat.
  2. 2. Stir until the sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to boil.
  3. 3. Allow the mixture to boil without stirring until it reaches a deep amber color.
  4. 4. Carefully add the heavy cream and butter, stirring until smooth.
  5. 5. Remove from heat and stir in the sea salt.
  6. 6. Pour the caramel into a lined baking dish and let it cool completely.
  7. 7. Once cooled, cut into squares and wrap in parchment paper.
