Microwave Caramels

Instructions
- Butter an 8 by 8-inch baking dish.
- Melt the butter in a large microwave-safe bowl in the microwave.
- Add corn syrup, granulated sugar, brown sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and salt to the melted butter and whisk well.
- Microwave the mixture on HIGH for 6 to 7 minutes.
- Carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and mix in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired.
- Refrigerate until set, about 20 to 30 minutes, then cut into pieces and wrap.
