The frosting

canned frosting flavor of your choice

canned frosting flavor of your choice
The coating

candy melts (recommended: Ghirardelli Melting Wafers)

cup
sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare the cake mix according to the package instructions, including the specified amounts of oil, water, and eggs.
- Bake the cake in a 9”x13” pan as directed and let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into fine crumbs.
- Mix in the frosting until a soft dough forms; add more frosting if the dough is too dry.
- Roll the mixture into tablespoon-sized balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Chill the balls for at least one hour.
- Melt the candy melts in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each cake ball using a fork, pouring the melted candy over it, and tap to remove excess.
- Place the dipped cake balls back on parchment and top with sprinkles.
- Repeat the process with the remaining cake balls and candy melts, then store in the refrigerator.
