Cake Truffles

canned frosting

candy melts (recommended: Ghirardelli Melting Wafers)

sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare the cake mix according to the box instructions and bake in a 9x13 pan.
- Allow the cake to cool completely, then crumble it into fine crumbs.
- Mix in the frosting until a dough forms, adding more frosting if the dough is too dry.
- Roll the mixture into tablespoon-sized balls and chill for at least one hour.
- Melt the candy melts in the microwave until smooth.
- Dip each cake truffle in the melted candy melts using a fork, then place on parchment paper.
- Sprinkle with additional sprinkles before the candy melts harden.
- Repeat with remaining truffles and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
