Ingredients

Dough Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple sauce, without added sugar
  • ¼ cup flax meal OR 3 tablespoons chia seed meal
  • teaspoons guar gum
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons cashew milk (or other milk)
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla liquid stevia
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • ½ cup melted ghee or coconut oil
  • 1 cup coconut flour, sifted
  • 1 cup tapioca flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda

Filling Ingredients

  • ½ cup applesauce, without added sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup coconut sugar

Macadamia Glaze

  • ¼ cup almond milk
  • ¼ cup coconut milk
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 1 cup macadamia nuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • optional liquid stevia to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Mix the dough ingredients in a bowl with an electric mixer until a ball forms.
  3. Roll the dough into a rectangle on lightly floured parchment paper.
  4. Combine the filling ingredients and spread them onto the rolled dough.
  5. Roll the dough tightly and slice into 8 rolls.
  6. Place the rolls in a greased pie dish and bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Prepare the macadamia glaze by blending all ingredients until smooth.
  8. Top the baked cinnamon rolls with the glaze.
