Cranberry Pecan Cream Cheese Dip

Ingredients

The dip

  • 1 ½ cups fresh cranberries
  • ⅓ to ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • ½ cup apricot jam, peach jam, or jalapeno/hot pepper jelly
  • ½ cup chopped, toasted pecans

For serving

  • 8 to 12 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • to taste crackers

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water; simmer until cranberries pop and soften, about 10 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in jam and pecans; let cool.
  3. Refrigerate for 8-12 hours to develop flavors.
  4. Spread softened cream cheese in a shallow dish and top with cranberry mixture.
  5. Serve with crackers.
