Au Gratin Hash Brown Casserole

The topping

cornflakes

butter, melted

chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Melt 4 Tbsp of butter in a large saucepan over medium heat and sauté the onion until softened.
- Add flour and cook for 1 minute, then whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture boils.
- Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar and parmesan cheeses until melted.
- Mix in the sour cream and season with salt and pepper.
- In a large bowl, combine the hash browns with the milk mixture and toss to coat evenly.
- Transfer the mixture to a 13x9-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
- Crush the cornflakes and mix with 3 Tbsp of melted butter.
- Sprinkle the cornflake mixture over the casserole.
- Bake until hot throughout, approximately 40-50 minutes.
- Garnish with parsley and serve warm.
